REDNESS IN HANDS IN PREGNANCY

During pregnancy, redness, red-pink discoloration, and redness may occur on the inner surface of the hands, palm part. This is called palmar erythema. No rash occurs on the fingers and the outside of the hand. It is a common condition seen in about a third of pregnant women and passes spontaneously after birth.
The reason for its occurrence in pregnancy is increased levels of estrogen hormone. No treatment is required, it goes away on its own after childbirth.
