There is no harm in using the treadmills during pregnancy, if
your doctor does not report any disability to sports such as bleeding,
miscarriage, preterm birth risk. Any pregnant woman who is allowed to walk or
run outdoors can do the same activities on the treadmill. There is no
physically significant difference between them. Walking in the open air is more
preferred due to the fact that fresh air can be taken and it is less boring for
pregnant women.
Things to
consider when using treadmills:
- Speed setting should not be kept too high
- It should be used with comfortable shoes and at the
appropriate speed so as not to lose balance.
- An average of 25-30 minutes of walking is sufficient. 15-20
minutes is enough for jogging at a slow pace. Everyone should adjust this
period so as not to sweat excessively and to get overly tired. Mild fitness is
recommended during pregnancy.
- If possible, the window of the room where the treadmill is
located should be kept open so that it can be aired during sports.
- During running or walking, you should not be excessively
thirsty, plenty of water should be consumed.
