NORMAL DELIVERY (NATURAL BIRTH)

Delivery can take place in two ways: normal delivery (vaginal delivery) and cesarean delivery. Natural birth, on the other hand, is that natural birth takes place completely naturally without any intervention. Not every normal birth means natural birth.
According to the philosophies that adopt natural birth like Lamaze, pregnancy and childbirth is a completely natural process that the female body experiences. For this reason, it is best to realize it in its naturalness without interfering with birth as much as possible. For example, it is to be expected to start labor on its own. Giving any medication or stimulus to start birth can disrupt the natural development stages of the event. Apart from this, not performing epiotomy unless necessary, allowing the mother to act exactly as she wishes during delivery, free meals and drinks are the main criteria of natural birth philosophies. According to the natural view of birth, medication or surgical interventions should be applied only when necessary. However, it should not be routinely applied to every birth in the same way. It is the biggest right of the expectant mother to want to give birth. However, for this reason, the mother candidate needs to reach correct objective information about pregnancy and childbirth. Mothers should not be frightened by wrong and biased directions. It should be taught that cesarean section is an operation that should be performed only in cases of medical necessity and has some risks. All of the above are the views of those who adopt the philosophy of natural birth, and nowadays, various studies are being carried out to spread their implementation.
