MEDICAL METHODS TO REDUCE BIRTH PAIN

Birth pains are a very curious issue, especially for expectant mothers who will give their first birth. They don't know how the pain is and they have to make do with what they hear. In the last month, uterine contractions start to occur once in a while. But these are not real labor pains. Birth pain is more severe, frequent and regular. During these pains, the abdomen becomes very stiff so that the baby goes down.
Medical methods to reduce birth pains?
There are some methods to reduce the pain of the mother during childbirth. You have to decide them before the birth approaches and how to give birth. The most common method is epidural analgesia (painless delivery).
Apart from this, the method of electrical stimulation of nerves called TENS is rarely used in some hospitals to reduce pain. In this method, electric current is given through the pads glued to your waist and in this way, the nerves are stimulated and the pain is tried to be reduced.
Another method to reduce pain is Entonox (Gas and Air). In this method, gas is given to the mother through a mask. This gas consists of a mixture of neutral oxide and oxygen in half. It gives the mother relief. During this process, dizziness and dizziness may occur in the mother, but gas is harmless to the mother and baby. As soon as the mother feels that her pain will begin, she must take the gas, not between the pain.
Pain relief morphine-like medications can be made in the form of injections (usually from the hip) to reduce birth pains. (Such as peditis or dolantin) However, if these medications pass to the baby, it may cause drowsiness and breathing difficulties in the baby. Therefore, they can only be done when there is little time left for birth at the appropriate time. In some hospitals, these drugs are made by injection from the hip, and in some hospitals, they are given as a mechanism (patient controlled analgesia) as the mother presses the button as she feels pain.
Apart from these, methods such as hypnosis, aquatic delivery, acupuncture, and aromatherapy are rarely used in some centers.
