also improves and can absorb some intrauterine fluid (amniotic fluid) daily in
the uterus.

CHANGES IN
THE MOTHER OF THESE WEEKS
- You have reached half your pregnancy and your uterus is
felt around the navel.
- You start to feel the baby's first movements, these
movements feel like stomach rumors or butterfly movements in the stomach, these
movements are irritated first. These movements come regularly during the weeks
of gestation.
- In this month, the hormones that affect the growth of the
baby and the development of the organs continue.
- Your blood circulation system continues to expand. Your
blood pressure is lower than normal, so when you go from a lying position to
sitting, you will feel dizzy, nausea, and fainting.
- The body's blood production continues to increase. This
increase is mostly in the blood serum we call plasma. Since the increase of red
blood cells is less than serum, the need for iron increases. Therefore, 30 mg
of iron is needed daily for adequate blood production. If not enough iron is
taken, anemia develops due to iron deficiency, resulting in fatigue, weakness
and resistance to disease.
- During these months, bothersome side effects related to
pregnancy may occur; such as nasal congestion, nosebleeds and bleeding gums.
These changes occur due to increased blood flow to the nose and gums.

progesterone in the respiratory system, lung capacity expands and breathes
faster and some women feel short of breath.
- The digestive system becomes lazy due to the pregnancy
hormone, heartburn and constipation may develop due to this and the growth of
the uterus. These are common conditions during pregnancy.

development of the milk glands, the vessels increase in size approximately
twice, become more visible.
- Since the growth of your uterus affects your center of
gravity, it causes difficulties in standing, sitting and walking. There may be
pain especially in the back and lower abdomen. Especially after sudden
movements, you feel groin pain or cramp-like pain due to the tension in many
ligaments that keep your womb in place. Although this condition is very painful
it is not harmful.
- Due to the growth of your uterus and relaxation of the
urinary tract muscles, urine flow slows and the risk of urinary tract infection
increases. Urinary tract infection symptoms; burning when urinating, abdominal
pain, fever, back pain. In such cases, contact your doctor, such infections
increase the risk of preterm labor.
- In these months, vaginal discharge increases even more,
thin white discharge due to hormones is normal. If the discharge is green or
yellow, malodorous and reddish due to itching, these may be due to infection
and should be treated.
- Skin changes begin, especially with the 4th month, there is
darkening in the nipple, navel, armpit, external genitalia. There is no need to
worry. It disappears after birth. But if changes occur in me or if there are
newly formed moles, you should consult your doctor in such cases.
