Your baby will continue to develop during this period as
well. In particular, his hands will grow, his nails will develop and he will be
able to punch and use his hands to recognize different parts of his body. Her
eyebrows and lashes will begin to form, her hair will grow and become tight.
The baby is still in red appearance, but every day the adipose tissue
increases. The baby continues to gain weight until birth. Gradually, hand and
footprints begin to form. In the 26th week, the baby's weight is between 500 gr
and 1 kg. It is the miniature version of the baby that will be born at the 27th
week. It is small, thinner and redder. Lungs, immune system and livers are not
yet fully developed.
He begins to open and close his eyes at week 28 and during
this period he sleeps and sleeps regularly. This alone is not in the form of an
adult or newborn baby. He sleeps for 20-30 minutes and wakes up again. The
mother notices the child's movements thoroughly, especially at the end of this
period. It feels more comfortable, especially when sitting and lying. At the
end of the 28th week, the height of the baby is about 24 cm and the weight is
about 1 kilo.
At the end of the 28th week, 70% of the mother's pregnancy
was finished. The womb of the mother grew between the navel and the rib cage,
blood pressure increased compared to before pregnancy. During this period, the
mother may feel palpitations. This feeling usually goes away in the later weeks
of pregnancy. The mother feels the movements of the baby most actively between
27-32 weeks. Increased activity during this period can be confused with birth
pains. False birth pains are irregular, long or short-lived, and cannot usually
be counted by the mother. Actual birth pains are stronger, long-lasting and regular.
These pains can be a sign of preterm labor. More than six regular pains in 1
hour may require you to inform your doctor. The mother takes about 1 kg per
week during this period.
There are
important tests to be done in the 7th month:
The glucose tolerance test is applied to show diabetes
disease that may occur in the mother during pregnancy. This test is applied
between 24-28 weeks.
Again, an important test in this period is the blood
incompatibility test (IDC). If the mother is Rh (-) and the father is Rh (+),
this test is performed and the mother is examined for the Rh antibody towards
the end of this month. If the mother has not yet produced antibodies, the
mother is injected with an Rh immunoglobule (needle of blood incompatibility).
