SLEEPING TOO MUCH DURING PREGNANCY WILL HARM THE BABY?

During pregnancy, some expectant mothers may have too much sleep day and night. If there is no problem underlying the desire to sleep excessively, sleeping will not harm the baby. Sometimes the desire for excessive sleep is caused by a disease such as anemia, and the expectant mother feels symptoms such as constant weakness, fatigue, fatigue, constant sleep and unwillingness to stand up. In this case, when the underlying cause is treated, the desire to sleep is lost. Therefore, expectant mothers with such symptoms must be examined and report the situation to their doctor.
Sleeping and sleeping constantly will naturally lead to a sedentary life, which will cause excessive weight gain for the mother. Excess weight has many negative effects on both mother and baby.
How many hours should pregnant women sleep?
It is wrong to think that it is a good thing to sleep too much during pregnancy or that it is beneficial for the baby. Suitable sleep time for pregnant women is the same as other people. Sleep time of at least 6-7 hours a day and maximum of 9-10 hours a day is ideal. Sleeping too little or sleeping too much causes the mother to feel unwell and to spend the days exhausted.
Also, contrary to popular belief, sleeping too much or not has anything to do with the gender of the baby, it does not mean that the baby is a girl or a boy.
