During pregnancy, bed rest may be recommended to the
expectant mother for various reasons. This bed rest is planned to exclude
mandatory needs such as toilet and bathroom, and sometimes to never get out of
bed in the form of strict bed rest. In some cases, you may be allowed to stand
up, walk, do small things, even for a short time during the day; in some cases
these are also not allowed. While bed rest can be applied in the patient's home
in some cases, in some cases it should be hospitalized. While bed rest is
recommended for several days in some cases, in some cases it may be necessary
to apply it for weeks.
With bed rest, the baby's downward weight decreases and the
pressure on the cervix decreases, so that conditions such as miscarriage and
premature birth can be prevented to some extent.
