WALKING IN PREGNANCY

For pregnant women, it is useful to have regular walks 3 days a week after the third month of pregnancy. The march should be at a moderate pace and it is enough to take 20-30 minutes. As with any exercise, warm-up movements should be done for 5 minutes before starting the walk. Comfortable sweatpants and sneakers should be worn for walking. Walking is the easiest sport to do anytime, anywhere, and it is a safe sport without danger. For this reason, it is one of the most preferred sports in pregnancy. During walking, the body should be upright, shoulders should not be left forward and should not be humped. While walking, look at the side rather than the ground or feet. While walking, heel should be on the ground first, then the whole foot. Trekking should be done on a safe and flat road, and should not be done on uphill and downhill areas. You should adjust your walking pace to breathe easily. For example, you should be comfortable enough to chat at the moment. If you are not so comfortable, if you are too tired enough to breathe, you should stop for a few minutes, do stretching movements and then continue walking again. You should not talk to others while walking, it will cause unnecessary effort. It is more beneficial to use suitable areas outside the house instead of treadmills for walking or jogging during pregnancy. In these areas, there will be an opportunity to get plenty of oxygen.

You should talk to your doctor in the 3rd month of your pregnancy. If there is no problem for your pregnancy, you can start the exercises after the third month.
